    THE FOURTEENTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE UNITED NATIONS TO WHICH SOUTH KOREA OWES ITS EXISTENCE, WAS CELEBRATED IN OTHER CITIES OF KOREA INCLUDING THE CAPITAL SEOUL.

    PRESIDENT RHEE OF SOUTH KOREA AND CHIEF OF THE UNITED NATIONS COMMAND GENERAL NAGRUDER WERE AMONG THE MANY DISTINGUISHED MEN WHO GATHERED AT PUSAN TO PAY PROSPECTS TO THE GLORIOUS DEAD.

    IN AN ADDRESS DURING THE CEREMONY PRESIDENT RHEE SAID: "IN OUR SALUTE TO THEM AND TO THEIR MEMORIES, WE PLEDGE THAT WE SHALL DO N O LESS AND THAT THEIR RIGHTEOUS CAUSE, AND OURS, WILL PREVAIL THROUGHOUT THE AGES OF PEACE AND FREEDOM TO COME."
    AS THE GUNS BOOMED SALUTE ONE MORE NATION THOUGH NOT HERSELF A MEMBER, ADDED HER TRIBUTES TO THE UNITED NATIONS CHARTER PROCLAIMED IN SAN FRANCISCO ON OCTOBER 24, 1945.
