    THE AFRICAN CENTRE FOR ADMINISTRATIVE TRAINING AND RESEARCH FOR DEVELOPMENT (CAFRAD) MET FOR THE SECOND TIME SINCE ITS FORMATION AT ITS HEADQUARTERS IN TANGIERS, MOROCCO.

    CAFRAD WAS SET UP IN 1964 BY THE MOROCCAN GOVERNMENT AND UNESCO TO TRAIN PERSONNEL FOR AFRICAN GOVERNMENT SERVICES.

    AMONG THE COUNTRIES ATTENDING THE SECOND CONFERENCE, WHICH OPENED YESTERDAY (WEDNESDAY), ARE IVORY COAST, GHANA, KENYA, MALAWI, CONGO-BRAZZAVILLE, ALGERIA, SUDAN, TUNISIA AND ZAMBIA.

    CAFRAD HELD ITS FIRST MEETING IN JANUARY LAST YEAR.

    THE ORGANISATION, THOUGH SET UP PRIMARILY TO HELP GOVERNMENTS IN DEVELOPING AFRICAN COUNTRIES, ALSO WILL MAKE SURVEYS OF VARIOUS EXPERIMENTS AND DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS IN AFRICA.

    IT WILL CONDUCT SEMINARS FROM TIME TO TIME TO EXCHANGE IDEAS IN THE TRAINING OF PERSONNEL FOR GOVERNMENT SERVICES.
