Background: Important annual meetings of the World Health Organisation, UNICEF, the Food and Agricultural Organisation and the Organisation of african Unity were held between June 11 and 15 in Brazzaville, People's Republic of the Congo.

At the UNICEF meeting, the delegates included Mr. M. Heyward, the New York UNICEF representative, who's also the Deputy Director General of the movement. The principal aims of the six-day UNICEF meeting was to discuss the 1974 budget, and the proposed work to be carried out by the movement.

The two-day combined meeting of the OAU, the WHO and the FAO was held to analyse the activities of the Secretariat, and to set up a new plan of operations.
