SOUTH AFRICAN SPORTS ADMINISTRATORS TODAY (TUESDAY) BEGAN DETAILED PLANNING TO FIND AND TRAIN A MULTI-RACIAL TEAM FOR THE MEXICO CITY OLYMPICS IN OCTOBER. AND YESTERDAY THE SOUTH AFRICAN OLYMPIC COMMITTEE PRESIDENT, MR. FRANK BRAUN, SAID THAT DESPITE PROTESTS AND BOYCOTTS ANNOUNCED SO FAR BY TEN AFRICAN NATIONS, HIS COUNTRY WOULD NOT WITHDRAW FROM THE MEXICO GAMES.

COMMENTING ON THE SPREADING BOYCOTT OF THE GAMES OF AFRICAN NATIONS, MR BRAUN SAID THAT THERE WAS NO CHANCE OF SOUTH AFRICA WITHDRAWING, AND THE WITHDRAWAL OF THESE AFRICAN STATES WOULD PRESENT NO DANGER TO SOUTH AFRICA'S PARTICIPATION.

WITH THE DECISION ON SOUTH AFRICA'S RE-ADMISSION TO THE GAMES NOW CONFIRMED, THE SOUTH AFRICAN OLYMPIC COMMITTEE PLANS TO MEET TONIGHT TO SELECT SPECIAL SUB-COMMITTEES TO GO INTO DETAILS OF TRAINING AND EQUIPPING ATHLETES -- SOME OF THEM POTENTIAL GOLD-MEDALLISTS -- FOR THE MEXICO GAMES.
