West German Chancellor, Dr.Konrad Adenauer, 84, flew in to Cologne/Bonn Civil Airport April 2 from Tokyo; his 3-week U.S.-Japan tour over.
Justice Minister Fritz Schaffer and members of the Chancellor's family were at the airport to greet him. For a returning present, the Chancellor received a globe to mark the end of the trip. He will give a radio and television talk Apr 4 to describe the trip.
Numerous affairs await the Chancellor in a busy pre-Easter week. They include the Hallstein plan to speed common market integration, briefing before the departure of Foreign Minister Heinrich Von Brentano for the Western foreign minister's conference in Washington next week; and discussions with West Berlin Burgomaster Willie Brandt Apr 5 on the Chancellor's own suggestion for a pre-Summit plebescite by West Berliners on the future of the City.
