  • Description

Cameraman Mohamed Amin, assigned to cover the arrival of Britain's Prince Charles and Princess Anne at Nairobi Airport at the start of their two weeks visit to Kenya on Saturday (Feb. 6), reports that Kenyan police were "very rough with photographers". It seems they manhandled cameramen and smashed the main set of lights. It would appear to have been a much tougher assignment than had been anticipated. Nevertheless, Amin got his story.

The heir to the British throne and his 20-year-old sister were met on their arrival by Kenya's Vice-President, Mr. Daniel Arap Moi, Foreign Minister, Dr. Njoroge Mungai, British High Commissioner, Sir Eric Norris, and members of the High Commission staff. The Prince and Princess will meet President Jomo Kenyatta and carry out several social engagements. Part of their visit will be spent in the rugged bushland where they will see something of Kenya's wildlife.
