    MR. LEE ARRIVED IN LONDON AFTER A STOP-OVER IN CAIRO, WHERE HE MET EGYPTIAN LEADERS. TODAY (WEDNESDAY) HE WENT TO THE COMMONWEALTH RELATIONS OFFICE TO MEET MR. BOTTOMLEY, THE COMMONWEALTH RELATIONS SECRETARY, AND OTHER BRITISH MINISTERS. LATER HE WILL HAVE TALKS WITH MR. WILSON.

    MR. LEE SAID HE WANTED HIS GOVERNMENT TO HAVE MORE SAY IN HOW BRITAIN USED SINGAPORE AS A MILITARY BASE. HE SAID HE EXPECTED THE BRITISH BASE TO BE THERE INTO THE NINETEEN-SEVENTIES- AS AN INCENTIVE TO ALL THE NATIONS OF SOUTH-EAST ASIA TO REMAIN AT PEACE.
