    THE 36-YEAR-OLD ENGINEER WHO HAS ALREADY STAGED SEVERAL DEMONSTRATIONS AGAINST THE EAST GERMAN REGIME, SAID HE HOPES WEST BERLINERS WILL JOIN HIM ON AUGUST 13, SECOND ANNIVERSARY OF THE CLOSING OF THE BORDER.

    A SMALL CROWD SURROUNDS THE INDIAN MOST OF THE DAY, AS HE SITS BESIDE A SMALL TENT CLOSE TO THE WALL AT THE HEINRISH HEINE CROSSING POINT.
