Five left-wing gunmen were captured in Western Japan on Monday (28 February) after a bloody 10-day siege in which two policemen died, and eight others were injured.

Thirteen members of the group -- known as "The Unified Red Army" -- are on the police wanted list are still at large, and officials fear more fanatical resistance if they are cornered.
