In Lebanon, the extreme right wing Christian organisation known as the 'Guards of the Cedars Party' says there can be no let-up in their aim to eradicate Palestinians.
ZOOM TO CU: Abu Arz replies in English to questions.
TRANSCRIPT: REPORTER: What are your views about the settlement of Palestinians in Lebanon?"
ABU ARZ: "Ah, you see, in the beginning of the war we, the Guards of Cedars, we are clear when we said that the problem of Lebanon was very complicated and the main problem of Lebanon was exactly the presence of about six hundred thousand Palestinians. You know that we are a small country and Lebanon is a small country and we can't accept that six hundred thousand lebanese, ah, Palestinians in Lebanon among three million Lebanese and we said from the beginning that we must get rid of them, and the war in Lebanon will continue until that we put out the last Palestinian out of Lebanon."
REPORTER: "How do you see the situation in Southern Lebanon?"
ABU ARZ: "I think that the problem in the South of Lebanon is part of the Lebanese problem and the war is going on because the Palestinians are there and they're armed and now they are trying to settle themselves in the South of Lebanon. I think that we have no choice. We have to continue the war against the Palestinians because this is our land and our home and they have nothing to do in Lebanon. They have to find a country for them out of Lebanon. We accepted them thirty years, they destroyed our country, our institutions, they killed our families and I think that's enough."
