  • Description

Tuscania, the little Italian hill town where 22 died, over 200 were injured and 4,000 made homeless in last Saturday's earthquake (February 6), is now counting the cost of the damaged to its unique artistic heritage. Buildings severely damaged include two of Italy's finest Romanesque churches, and several frescoes are almost beyond repair.

This story was sot by Visnews cameraman Pino Giambattista, who also filmed the human story of Tuscania's earthquake (see Visnews Productions 1512/71 and 1572/71).
