    Background: On Saturday 30th Nov. 140 VC prisoners will be released in South Vietnam. This is an act of clemency the South Vietnamese govt. almost all of them were captured on the battlefield in South Vietnam. They are all South Vietnamese citizens no northerns. Most claims to have been pushed into joining by the Communist. The govt. considers they have been rehabilitated, and are releasing them into custody of their families.

    They will be completely free. Of the 140 prisoners 90 are to be released in Saigon, 36 in Pleiku, and 14 in Da Nang. 10 of the 140 are women. Five of these were seen in Saigon. Whilst in prison both men and women prisoners were trained as tailors and tailoress. Some of the men also studied barbers, and has a chance to try their skill on their comrades.
