Background: The turbine builders of Leningrad put into operation a unique aggregate for testing powerful rotors of steam turbines. The tests are carried out in a special Vacuum camera. The control of the process is performed from a central board. A speed of four and a half thousand revolutions per minute may be developed by the aggregate. The meters placed in the camera send accurate data to the control board about the work qualities of the rotor. The engineering complex at the Leningrad metallurgical plant will help to rise the reliability and long life of the turbines.
