    POLAND'S FOREIGN TRADE MINISTER JANUSZ BURAKIEWICZ - THE FIRST POLISH GOVERNMENT MINISTER TO VISIT WEST GERMANY - TODAY (FRIDAY) DISCUSSED MEANS OF STRENGTHENING ECONOMIC TIES BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES WITH WEST GERMAN LEADERS.

    MR. BURAKIEWICZ ARRIVED IN BONN YESTERDAY FOR THREE DAYS OF TALKS AT THE INVITATION OF WEST GERMAN ECONOMICS MINISTER, PROFESSOR KARL SCHILLER.

    THE TWO MINSTERS STARTED THEIR DISCUSSIONS AT BONN'S ECONOMIC MINISTRY TODAY - AND BOTH SIDES EMPHASISED THEIR INTEREST IN EXPANDING BILATERAL TRADE. THE TALKS WERE JOINED BY WEST GERMAN PARLIAMENTARY STATE SECRETARY KLAUS ARNDT, AN EXPERT ON EASTERN EUROPE, AND BY A MEMBER OF THE POLISH TRADE MISSION IN COLOGNE, MR. PIATKOWSKI.

    LATER, MR. BURAKIEWICZ MET WEST GERMAN FOREIGN MINISTER WALTER SCHEEL FOR FURTHER DISCUSSIONS.

    MORE NEGOTIATIONS BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES - ON PURELY POLITICAL PROBLEMS, INCLUDING THE POST-WAR ODER-NEISSE FRONTIER - ARE IN THE OFFING. CHANCELLOR WILLY BRANDT'S OFFER FOR SUCH TALKS HAS BEEN ACCEPTED IN PRINCIPLE BY THE POLES.
