    MR STEWART'S VISIT IS AT THE INVITATION OF MR GROMYKO THE SOVIET FOREIGN MINISTER, WHO WAS IN LONDON LAST MARCH.

    THE BRITISH PRIME MINISTER, MR WILSON HAS YET TO VISIT THE SOVIET UNION AS A HEAD OF GOVERNMENT, AND MR STEWART AND MR GROMYKO MAY CONSIDER A DATE FOR ONE, AS WELL AS FOR AN EXCHANGE VISIT TO BRITAIN BY THE SOVIET PRIME MINISTER, MR KOSYGIN.

    THE TWO WERE TO HAVE BEEN MADE EARLIER THIS YEAR BUT BOTH TRIPS WERE POSTPONED BECAUSE OF STRAINED RELATIONS OVER VIETNAM. VIETNAM WILL BE A CHIEF TOPIC OF MR STEWART'S TALKS WITH SOVIET LEADERS THIS TIME.
