COMMENTARY: "This is one of the most exciting Cup ties I have ever seen. Spurs went into the lead after 19 minutes. Cyril Knowles, Number Three made a beautiful run down the left wing. Waiting at the near post, Martin Chivers. A typical Chivers goal. Boulton beaten. All credit though to Cyril Knowles."
"Just about 20 minutes later Derby came very close to equalising. A corner on the right. An inswinger. Jennings goes for it. Number 10, Hector for Derby onto the cross bar. Finally cleared by Martin Chivers. A let off for Spurs there and they took full advantage of it.
"Just before half time, Chivers again. One of his colossal throws in. Gilzean--Gilzean again...and that made it two-nil and that was the score before half-time.
"After half time Hector and Davies scored for Derby. England with a penalty, got another one for Spurs. And with just about three minutes of the game remaining, Spurs were leading Derby three goals to two.
"Three-two to Spurs. Three minutes to go. But a throw in to Derby on the right. It comes to Davies with his back to the goal. A beautiful shot. Jennings is beaten. That made it three all at full time.
