Background: Medical civic action projects conducted by U.S. forces in behalf of the Vietnamese people are playing an important role in the overall pacification effort in South Vietnam.
An example is this outdoor medical clinic operated by U.S. Air Force Medical Corps personnel of Danang Air Base. Even before the medical team has laid out the medical supplies, a crowd of civilians has gathered for examination and treatment. Examination and treatment of more than 50 civilians in one day is not unusual at this clinic.
This medical civic action is just part of another day's work for USAF Medical Corps personnel stationed at Danang Air Base.
