Roy Davis, of TeleVision News, gives this report:

DAVIS: "More than four thousand supporters of Israel left their jobs at noon, and joined in an emergency mass rally to save hundreds of Israeli prisoners-of-war....victims of the Mid East fighting. The speakers told the gathering its a life-or-death situation for Israeli prisoners-of-war in view of reports that the Arabs have committed barbaric acts against many of the captives. It was also pointed out that reports reaching the United States stated that the Syrians had executed more than 30 Israeli pilots, and other prisoners are being subjected to torture. Senator Jacob Javits told the crowd Arab executions and torture is all the more reason why the United States should send more 'planes and guns to Israel....."

SENATOR JAVITS: "The first consideration, in view f the enormous mount of material that has already been used up by Israel, the first consideration is for Israel to be resupplied, so that fay there is a renewal of hostilities, Israel may not stand defenceless."
