    A ten-man French tourist delegation is visiting Jordan at present at the invitation of the Royal Jordanian Airlines.

    The French delegation will be shown all the principal tourist attractions in Jordan--as part of an effort by the airline to attract more visitors to the country.

    On the first full day of their visit, Saturday (19 February), the visitors met Crown Prince Hassan at the Basman Palace. The Crown Prince is the Head of the Board of Directors of the Royal Jordanian Airlines.

    SYNOPSIS: Jordan's Basman Palace was one of the first stops for a ten-man French delegation now visiting the country. There the ten were to meet Crown Prince Hassan. The delegation is visiting Jordan at the invitation or the Royal Jordanian Airlines--and Crown Prince Hassan is Head of the airline's Board of Directors.

    The delegation has been invited to Jordan as part of an effort by the airline to attract more foreign tourists to the country. Crown Prince Hassan told the delegation about some of the attractions available to visitors. Many of these attractions the delegation members will see for themselves as they tour the country during the next few days. Also attending the meeting between the French delegation and the Crown Prince was the General Director of Royal Jordanian Airlines, Mr. Chandour and Jordan's Minister of Tourism, Mr. Ghaleb Baraket.

    After the meeting the delegation set off on the tour which Jordan a authorities hops will signal the start of a new boom in Jordan's tourist trade.
