Background: The Crown Prince of Jordan, Prince Hassan opened a Taiwanese. Commodity Exhibition in Amman on Thursday (29 November) - an exhibition which coincided with the visit to Jordan of a top level economic delegation from Taiwan.
The delegation, led by the Taiwan Minister of Economic Affairs, Mr. Yee Sun, was in Jordan to discuss the possibility of financing number of projects in Jordan's Three Year development Plan.
The Three Year Plan unveiled last year aims at a growth rate of 26 per cent from 1973 to 1975, or an average 8 per cent a year.
Such things as furniture, television sets, kitchen equipment and textiles were among the goods displayed at the exhibition held in Amman's Intercontinental Hotel.
Earlier in the month Mr. Sun and his delegation spent nine days in Saudi Arabia. His Middle East trip is a return visit. Last spring Crown Prince Hassan and Mohammed Al Awadi, Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Saudi Arabia visited Taiwan.
