    Premier Flies to Ottawa Before Return to Japan
    Hayato Ikeda, the Japanese Premier, left at 2:15 P.M. yesterday by plane for Ottawa, Honolulu and Tokyo, ending a one-week state visit to the United States.

    Accompanied by his wife and delegators and his official party, the Premier boarded a Canadian Department of Transport Viscount transport at New York International Airport. He was greeted at the plane side by W. F. Bull, Canadian Ambassador to Japan, who was summoned from Tokyo to participate in the one-day visit of the Japanese leader to Ottawa.

    The Japanese party will be in Chicago tonight and fly to Honolulu via San Francisco tomorrow. After a two-day stop in Hawaii, Premier Ikeda will return to Tokyo Friday.

    OTTAWA, June 25 (Canadian Press)-Premier Ikeda arrived today for talks with Prime Minister John Diefenbaker and said bilateral problems had to be subordinated to strengthen Western unity.

    Mr. Diefenbaker, welcoming Mr. Ikeda and his family at Uplands Airport, said strengthening Western unity was never more important in the light of the Soviet Union's expansionist drive.
