    Nearly 200-thousand South Koreans gathered in Seoul Stadium on Tuesday (August 27) to accuse North Korea and Japan over the assassination attempt on President Park on August 15. The mass rally was the culmination of seven days of demonstrations against Japan. It followed an announcement by the South Korean prosecutors that the accused gunman, Mun Se Kqang, a Korean resident in Japan, confessed he received orders for the assassination form North Korean communist agents in Japan.

    The attempt on President Park failed, but his wife was struck by bullet??? and later died.

    The rally shouted slogans against the North Korean leader, President Kim 11-Sung and burned an effigy of him. The protestors also called for a full apology from Japan.

    Later students left the stadium and marched on the Japanese embassy.

    Similar demonstrations were held in other cities of South Korea.
