    Parisian Philippe Arnal, 18, founder of a three-year old amateur rocket builders' club, presented Nov 18 in Paris his latest solid-fuel rocket designed to go 15,000 metres up. The French Army is interested, he said.

    Arnal and his team of young rocket enthusiasts have their workshop in an old building loaned to them by Dedion-Bouton, the French car makers of the 1900s.

    The rocket is 75 cm long, has a diametre of 10 cm and is built of steel. Fully charged, it weighs 13 1/2 kilogrammes. M. Arnal hopes to recover his rocket by parachute. Cost of the rocket: 200 NF.
