    Official Air Force footage released by the Department of Defense...showing how U.S.Air Commandos helped residents of the remote village of Chimon build an air strip.Chimon is 75 miles by air from Panama City, but it is so deep in the jungle that it has little contact with the outside world.

    From a loud speaker mounted on a U-10A airplane..an Air Commando tells the villagers that if they want an airstrip the Air Commandos will help by giving them directions from the air on how to build it.

    Film shows aircraft flying over Panamian jungle...headquarters of the 1st Air Commands Company in the Panama Canal Zone...Air Commandos place loud speaker in aircraft...broadcast from the plane to the villagers of Chimon...Panamanian civil officials distribute hand tools...villagers cross a river to site of airstrip and begin the work.The first plane lands on the new airstrip bringing an Air Force doctor to provide the first medical attention the villagers have had in months.
