    THIS WAS SAID BY MR.C.W.DAVIDSON, AUSTRALIAN POST-MASTER-GENERAL AND LEADER OF A 13-MAN PARTY OF AUSTRALIAN PARLIAMENTARIANS, WHO ARE ON A FOUR-DAY FACT FINDING TOUR OF MALAYA.

    THE TOUR WAS ORGANISED TO GIVE THE PARLIAMENTARIANS A KNOWLEDGE OF THE PROBLEMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE SOUTH-EAST ASIAN COUNTRIES.

    ON ARRIVAL AT KUALA LUMPUR, THE CAPITAL OF MALAYA, ON JULY 1ST AFTER TOURING THAILAND, MR.DAVIDSON TOLD PRESS REPRESENTATIVES:
    "THERE HAS BEEN VERY CLOSE RELATIONS BETWEEN AUSTRALIA AND MALAYA SINCE WORLD WAR TWO AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO THE FORMATION OF MALAYSIA."
    THE FOLLOWING DAY (JULY 2ND) THEY VISITED THE OPERATION ROOM OF THE RURAL DEVELOPMENT WHERE THEY WERE MET BY MR.C.G.FERGUSON, ACTING SECRETARY.LATER, THEY CALLED ON TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN, THE MALAYAN PRIME MINISTER.
