Background: British designer Clive features skirts which are "uncompromisingly short" in his 1967 Winter Collection, due to go on show to the public in London tomorrow (Tuesday). Bright colours and flamboyant designs, according to Clive, are the keynote of this year's collection.
Apart from his couture collection for autumn-winter, Clive has also assembled a ready-to-wear collection, which he will show next month. Part of his couture assembly will be shown at the United Kingdom Ambassador's Ball in Pittsburgh early in November.
Among the fashions he showed today:
A tunic dress in flower patterned lace wool, with matching tights and balaclava helmet.
A black velvet "wader suit", with a diamante belt and matching black velvet beret.
Suede waders, with calf belt and calf cap to match.
A long evening dress in pink and peach chenille brocade.
Dress in printed chiffon, with a high boat neck.
