Background: Zambia's President Kenneth Kaunda flew into Nairobi yesterday (Friday) on his way home from a stone-laying ceremony in Uganda. Also attending the ceremony were President Obtoe of Uganda and President Nyerere of Tanzania.
It's thought that the three leaders discussed the current situation in Guinea and President Kaunda was stopping off in Nairobi to brief President Kenyatta on the talks.
When he arrived, President Kaunda was met by Kenya's Foreign Minister, Doctor Njoroge Mungai. The two men drove to a Nairobi high school where President Kenyatta was opening building extensions. The two Presidents then drove back to the airport together and President Kaunda flew back to Lusaka.
Kenya has offered to send men and troops to Guinea if requested.
