    GHANA'S GOVERNMENT HAS SIGNED TWO AGREEMENTS WITH FRANCE AND BRITAIN.

    THE BRITISH AGREEMENTS MAKES AVAILABLE AN INTEREST-FREE LOAN AND FRANCE HAS AGREED TO PROVIDE CULTURAL AND TECHNICAL CO-OPERATION.

    BRITAIN'S AGREEMENT HAS SIGNED BY THE GHANAIAN COMMISSIONER FOR ECONOMIC AFFAIRS, MR OMABOE, AND BRITAIN'S HIGH COMMISSIONER IN ACCRA, MR MATTHEWS. THE LOAN IS TO BE USED TO BUY BRITISH GOODS AND SERVICES AND IT IS ALSO A CONTRIBUTION TOWARDS THE COST OF SOME DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS.

    THE FRENCH AMBASSADOR TO GHANA, M. PIERRE ANTHONIOZ, SIGNED FOR HIS GOVERNMENT, WITH MR OMABOE. UNDER THIS AGREEMENT, FRANCE WILL MAKE AVAILABLE TEACHERS AND TECHNICAL EXPERTS, AS WELL AS OFFERING SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS.

    A COMMISSION IS TO BE SET UP, WHICH WILL MEET REGULARLY TO DETERMINE THE EXECUTION OF THE AGREEMENT.
