    PRESIDENT JOSEPH MOBUTU OF CONGO-KINSHASA ARRIVED IN PARIS TODAY (26 MARCH) FOR A FOUR-DAY VISIT DURING WHICH HE IS TO HAVE TALKS WITH PRESIDENT DE GAULLE. HIS VISIT TO FRANCE FOLLOWS A STATE VISIT TO WEST GERMANY AND A SEMI-OFFICIAL VISIT TO GREECE.

    THE CONGOLESE PRESIDENT WAS ACCOMPANIED BY HIS WIFE AND BY HIS FOREIGN AFFAIRS MINISTER JUSTIN BOMBOKO AND PLANNING MINISTER ETIENNE TSHISEKEDI.

    AT ORLY AIRPORT HE WAS GREETED BY M. JEAN DE LIPKOWSKI, FRENCH SECRETARY OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS.

    GENERAL MOBUTU, WHO IS MAKING HIS FIRST TRIP TO FRANCE SINCE TAKING OFFICE THREE YEARS AGO, TOLD REPORTERS: "IT IS A REAL PLEASURE FOR ME TO MEET GENERAL DE GAULLE, WHOM I HAVE NEVER SEEN, AND WHO HAS MADE HISTORY SINCE THE SECOND WORLD WAR". HE SAID HIS TALKS WITH THE FRENCH PRESIDENT TOMORROW (27 MARCH) WOULD COVER THE PROBLEMS OF CONGO-KINSHASA AND THE FRENCH-SPEAKING COUNTRIES IN GENERAL.

    HE MEETS GENERAL DE GAULLE TOMORROW MORNING FOR A PRIVATE EXCHANGE OF VIEWS FOLLOWED BY A LUNCH. HE IS ALSO TO MEET THE FRENCH PREMIER M. COUVE DE MURVILLE.

    CONGO-KINSHASA IS THE LARGEST FRENCH-SPEAKING COUNTRY WITH A POPULATION SECOND ONLY TO FRANCE ITSELF. IT SELLS GOODS TO FRANCE WORTH NEARLY 14 MILLION STERLING (34 MILLION DOLLARS) A YEAR AND BUYS FROM FRANCE GOODS WORTH NEARLY 7 1/2 MILLION STERLING (18 MILLION DOLLARS).
