U.S. Secretary of State John Foster Dulles arrived Feb 5 in Paris for talks with France's Foreign Minister M. Couve de Murville and the Secretary General of NATO M. Paul Henri Spaak. M. Couve de Murville was at the airport to meet Mr. Dulles, who had just completed two hectic days in London where he had talks with Britain's Prime Minister Mr. Harold Macmillan and Foreign Secretary Mr. Selwyn Lloyd.
Mr. Dulles said upon his arrival that " it seemed to President Eisenhower and me that it would be useful to have an exchange of views with the government leaders of Britain, France and Germany and M. Spaak for a preliminary discussion on the German situation". He also said he had useful meetings in London with Mr. Macmillan and Mr. Selwyn Lloyd.
About his talks with the French and German government officials, Dulles said " we shall have an exchange of views to ensure that we think on parallel lines.
