    Each?

  • Description

India and Egypt have signed a new trade agreement for the year ending September 1973.

Each country plans to send more than 17 1/2 million pounds sterling (42 million dollars) worth of exports to the other. And, for the first time, it has been agreed that Indian firms would be free to export to Egypt on the foreign exchange market, outside the trade pact.

Egypt's exports to India would comprise cotton and other goods. Trade in the other direction will include juts, tea and engineering goods.

Both countries suffer from a chronic trade deficit, with trade balances rarely showing a surplus in their favour.
