TRANSCRIPT: SEQ. 4: REPORTER: "Do you know if the fedayeen are pulling out, strictly observing the Cairo agreement in Amman, pulling out; but you don't say anything about what's happening in the northern cities. Are there still plenty of fedayeen around?"



(BAKR IN ARABIC)



INTERPRETER: "There is a difference between Irbid,
Jarash, Arunta and Amman."



REPORTER: "What is the difference as set out in the Cairo agreement? I mean there wasn't any difference there It just set out the cities."



(BAKR IN ARABIC)



INTERPRETER: "The Cairo agreement calls for putting an end to the military experience in Irbid....."



(BAKR IN ARABIC) "it does not call for the withdrawal of the fedayeen from Irbid



(BAKR IN ARABIC) Because Irbid is considered one of the front positions in the resistance fight against Israel.



(BAKR IN ARABIC) But of course around the city the bases of the fedayeen will still be felt."



REPORTER: "Do you think mutual confidence is really possible between the king and fedayeen after this grisly war?"



INTERPRETER: "Everything is possible."



REPORTER: "Even with the king and his forces?"

Background: A spokesman for the Palestine liberation Organisation, Ibrahim Bakr, said in Amman yesterday (Tuesday) that fedeyeen forces would continue to remain at positions in the northern Jordanian city of Irbid. At a news conference in Amman, held to counter an earlier conference given by the Jordanian government, Mr. Bakr stressed that the fedayeen were withdrawing from Amman and that things were returning to normal.

Mr. Bakr, speaking through an interpreter, said the fedayeen wanted no part in ruling Jordan and had no desire to depose King Hussein.
