    THE UNITED NATIONS PEACE KEEPING FORCE IN CYPRUS TAKES ON AN EVEN MORE INTERNATIONAL CHARACTER THIS WEEK WITH THE ARRIVAL OF 600 DANISH TROOPS AND A GROUP OF NEW ZEALAND POLICEMEN.

    THE NEW ZEALANDERS - 20 OF THEM - ARRIVED AT NICOSIA AIRPORT YESTERDAY (THURSDAY), LED BY INSPECTOR GEORGE WELLS. THEY WERE WELCOMED BY COLONEL QUINN, AN IRISH U.N. OFFICER REPRESENTING THE U.N. COMMANDER, GENERAL GYANI, MR. TEMPLETON FROM THE NEW ZEALAND HIGH COMMISSIONER'S OFFICE, SUPERINTENDENT HASSAPIS OF THE CYPRUS POLICE, AND AUSTRALIAN, AUSTRIAN AND SWEDISH REPRESENTATIVES.

    THE NEW ZEALANDERS WILL BE JOINING THE U.N. CIVILIAN POLICE, WHICH AT THE MOMENT IS LARGELY MADE UP OF AUSTRIANS.
