    The body of King Frederik of Denmark, who died late last week, was borne in a black-draped horse-drawn carriage to the Chapel of Christianborg Palace from the Knight's Hall in the Royal residence of Amalienborg Palace on Tuesday (18 January). The body will lie in state in the Christianborg Palace until the funeral on Monday (24 January).

    On Wednesday (19 January), large crowds gathered at the Chapel to pay their respects to the king. On Monday, the body is to be taken by train to the 12th Century Cathedral at Roskilde -- the traditional resting place of Denmark's kings -- for the funeral service.
