The final period was less than a minute old when Pittsburgh's Lowell Mc Donald stole the puck from Pit Martin and tied the score on the breakaway.
Five minutes later, Chicago was shorthanded when Chico Maki got the puck from Bob Paradise and left it for Mikita who scored his second goal of the nigh....
The score was tied three to three with under four minutes left when Chicago struck twice to sew up their 26th win...Jim Pappin getting the godhead score.....
