SYNOPSIS: At the Royal Palace in Brussels on Thursday, King Baudouin of Belgium received the visiting Colombian Foreign Minister, Signor Alfredo Vasquez Carrisoza. Signor Carrisoza had earlier announced that his country was seeking closer relations with the six member countries of the European Common Market and the affiliate countries connected with overseas trade.
Signor Carrisoza has discussed the question of more trade between Colombia and Europe. Colombia, one of the world's largest coffee producing countries, exports a large proportion of its annual crop to Europe and observers see the Foreign Minister's visit as a trade boost towards more European markets in coffee and other products.
