    FOLLOWING UP HIS EXTENSIVE TOUR OF AFRICA, MR. CHOU EN-LAI PRIME MINISTER OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA HAS PAID A GOOD WILL VISIT TO BURMA, HOLDING TALKS WITH GENERAL NE WIN, CHAIRMAN OF THE REVOLUTIONARY COUNCIL.

    DURING THE BURMESE VISIT, MR. CHOU WAS ACCOMPANIED BY A TEAM OF OFFICIALS AND ADVISORS, INCLUDING MARSHAL CHEN-YI, THE VICE-PREMIER AND MINISTER FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS.

    IN A SPEECH OF WELCOME AT THE STATE HOUSE BANQUET, GENERAL WIN EXPRESSED THE HOPE THAT THE VISIT BY THE CHINESE PREMIER WOULD STRENGTHEN THE FRIENDLY RELATIONS BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES. HE ALSO REFERRED TO PREMIER CHOU'S AFRICAN TOUR.

    SPEAKING IN REPLY, MR. CHOU DECLARED THAT HIS GOVERNMENT FULLY UNDERSTOOD AND RESPECTED THE POLICY OF NEUTRALITY FOLLOWED BY THE BURMESE GOVERNMENT. REFERRING TO HIS AFRICAN TOUR, HE ADDED THAT NOTHING COULD PREVENT WHAT HE TERMED THE COMPLETE VICTORY OF THE NATIONAL LIBERATION MOVEMENT OF THE AFRICAN CONTINENT.

    THE FOLLOWING DAY, MR. CHOU EN-LAI TO NGAPALI BEACH, A POPULAR RESORT ON THE BAY OF BENGAL. IT WAS TO BE THE SCENE OF TOP-LEVEL TALKS BETWEEN THE CHINESE AND BURMESE LEADERS ON "PROBLEMS OF MUTUAL INTEREST."
    MR. CHOU RETURNED TO PEKING TWO DAYS LATER TO PREPARE FOR HIS VISIT TO PAKISTAN.
