    The World Water Ski Championships ended in Bogota, Colombia, on Sunday (16 September) with most of the top honours being won by the United States, France and Canada.

    The Women's Water Ski Slalom Final was won by Silvie Maurial of France, with Liz Allen Shatter and Liza St. John tied second, both of the U.S.A.

    The Women's Combined Water Ski Final, which included the jump, figure and slalom, was won by Lia St. John, with Silvie Maurial second, and Barbara Cleveland (U.S.A.) third.

    The U.S.A. won the Combined Men's and Women's Team Medal; Canada was second, and France Third.

    The Men's Slalom was won by George Athans of Canada; Ricky McCormick (U.S.A.) was second, and Jean Ives Parpette (France) third. The Men's Combined Final was won by George Athens, with McCormick second and Wayne Grimditch (U.S.A.) third.

    Wayne Grimditch won the Men's Figure Skiing Championship, with Bruce Cockburn (Australia) second and Ricky McCormick third. The Men's Water Ski Jump World Title was won by Ricky McCormick (U.S.A.), ??? George Athans (Canada) second, and Wayne Grimditch (U.S.A.) third.

    The Women's Jump World Title was won by Liz Allan Shatter (U.S.A.), with Silvie Maurial (France) second, and Karen Morse (Britain) third.
