    In the Sudan, bank managers from eighteen Arab countries have completed another conference to discuss future economic aid to Africa. It was the third annual meeting of the board of governors of the Arab Bank for economic development in Africa. The bank was established four years ago.

    SYNOPSIS: The Hilton Hotel in the Sudanese capital of Khartoum was the venue for the conference which attracted 41 delegates from the Arab states that subscribe to the bank.

    Sudan's finance minister Mr. Osman Hashim, was among those who addressed the conference which has the task of raising and distributing the funds. Last year just over 140 million dollars was lent to African countries. The rest was split between states in East and Central Africa. Details of the amount to be lent this year, have yet to be announced.
