  • Description

Every European country, almost without exception, is trying to get into the small car act. Italy, Germany, France, Britain..... and now Poland.

The Polish prototype -and it's not yet in commercial production-is the 'Smyk'. It's yet another scooter-type vehicle with the now familiar 'front-access' type of body.

And, again, economy is the key-note, which, in present-day motoring design means lightness. That's why those seats look rather insubstantial, why there's a minimum of fittings and upholstery. But as long as the manufacturers can squeeze their claims for another 2 or three miles per gallon -- that's all that matters.
