    TALKS LASTED FOR LESS THAN AN HOUR AND AFTERWARDS THE TWO PRESIDENTS POSED OUTSIDE THE STATE HOUSE FOR PICTURES. THE MALAGASY LEADER FLEW INTO NAIROBI FROM AN EIGHT DAY STATE VISIT TO MALAWI.

    AFTER THE MEETING THE MALAGASY PRESIDENT SAID THAT HIS TALKS HAD CENTRED ON COMMON PROBLEMS OF THEIR TWO COUNTRIES, ALTHOUGH SOME OTHER MATTERS HAD ALSO BEEN DISCUSSED. "ANY SOLUTION TO AFRICAN PROBLEMS DEPEND ON GOODWILL AND STATESMANSHIP AMONG AFRICAN LEADERS," HE COMMENTED.

    IT IS THE FIRST TIME THAT PRESIDENT KENYATTA HAS BEEN SEEN PUBLICLY FOLLOWING SPECULATION A FEW WEEKS AGO THAT HIS HEALTH IS SUFFERING.
