In his speech of introduction, Mr. Mehta said there was a vast field for fruitful collaboration between India and Ghana in all spheres of activity. He said India would greatly welcome, and was ready to explore, every possible opportunity for further mutual collaboration in both the economic and industrial fields.

Mr. Mehta said India would be happy to share with Ghana her experience in technological and industrial know-how gained through her two decades of independence.

In reply, Brigadier Afrifa said Ghana and India shared a common adherence to the principles and traditions of the United Nations, the Commonwealth and their Afro-Asian solidarity.

He said the two countries also believed in the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of others on the basic of friendship, equality and mutual respect.
