Background: Leading exponent of the ancient Indian Yoga-Philosophy, Swani Dev Murti, revealed to Visnews recently in Hamburg, how Yoga helps in overcoming the stresses of modern life.
Ho gave a sensational demonstration of physical endurance practical proof of the enormous strength he has developed during 25 years of study in this field.
Bending an iron bar around his arm with his little finger, he went on to lift a 300 kgs. weight with his hair. Then breaking a number of glass bottles to form a bed he lay on his back, balancing heavy weights on his barrel chest. Finally in the same position, he supported our cameraman followed by six people, on boards placed across his chest.
The demonstration ended with a short display of simple natural exercises which everyone - young or old - can perform to maintain their good health, and last but not lest, he showed how easy it is to laugh away one's troubles.
Yoga is a philosophy which aims at securing health and happiness through abstract meditation and intense concentration.
