MRS MOCK, WHO IS 38, DETOURED TO TEXAS TO GIVE HER THE MILEAGE REQUIRED TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE WORLD-CIRCLING RECORD. SHE ARRIVED IN EL PASO AHEAD OF SCHEDULE, AND THE LOCAL MAYOR HAD TO DASH FROM HIS BREAKFAST TABLE TO THE AIRPORT TO MEET HER.
