    A TEAM OF JAPANESE MOUNTAINEERS ON WEDNESDAY OF LAST WEEK COMPLETED AN EXTENSIVE TOUR OF AFRICA BY CLIMBING THE MOUNT M'LANJE PEAK IN MALAWI.

    THE THIRTEEN MEMBERS OF THE TEAM BELONG TO THE MOUNTAIN CLUB OF JAPAN. THEIR VISIT TO AFRICAN COUNTRIES HAS BEEN A GOODWILL TOUR.

    THE JAPANESE CLIMBERS SPENT SEVERAL MONTHS TOURING AFRICA AND CLIMBING THE CONTINENT'S MOUNTAINS, INCLUDING MOUNT ELGON, MOUNT KENYA AND MOUNT KILIMANJARO IN KENYA; AND RAS DASHAN, THE HIGHEST MOUNTAIN IN ETHIOPIA.

    THE TEAM IS RETURNING TO JAPAN BY SEA FROM THE MOZAMBIQUE PORT OF BEIRA.
