Background: Western exports to emerging African nations usually take the form of heavy machinery or goods vitally needed in industry.

However, one man has just landed a big order in Ghana for machinery designed purely for pleasure. He's Alfred Botton who operates funfairs at Battersea, Skegness and Great Yarmouth. His contract is to supply fun fair equipment for the Ghana State Exhibition in Accra. For Mr. Botton the order is just another step in the career of a man who discovered early in his life that there's money to be made out of pleasure.

At Great Yarmouth reporter John Myatt talked to him.
