    GV General Assembly.

SV Pan African Congress representative David Sibeko speaking in English.

LEONARD:"The South African government is planning for the destruction shortly of the Crossroads community outside Cape Town. The United States deplores this potential human tragedy, and calls on south Africa to cancel such plans. Bannings and detentions, detentions without charge continue unabated. On October 25th we learned of the detention of Sally Motlana, a permanent member of the Soweto community, and a vice president of the South African Council of Churches. Detained without a charge, Miss Motlana has had no access to counsel, nor to family nor to other visitors. International concern for Miss Motlana's well-being i growing rapidly."

SIBEKO:"The United Nations needs to regain its credibility as the world's number one peace champion by imposing these sanctions on South Africa. Any efforts by the Western members of the Security Council to protest South Africa with their veto powers must be outrightly denounced. The murder of each child, woman and man by the Pretoria fascists must be equally blamed on apartheid South Africa, and all those who use their diplomatic and political strength to protect the regime. The all out struggle of the Azania people and their liberation movement must be met by all our struggle to expose the allies of apartheid in the international community. The time to act decisively against the South African apartheid regime has come. There is a boiling the Azania, a mood is rising against the apartheid regime, will go beyond the uprisings of the Pan African Congress, at the time of Sharpeville and the black consciousness movement at the time of Soweto."
