Fearlessly, Marry Gregg goes into action and the all-conquering spirit of Manchester United quickly overcomes the relative inexperience of this makeshift team. The first goal comes from young Scamus Brennan - playing in his first big match. The ball goes in straight from his corner kick. Wednesday pull no punches, but they just cannot break this United defence. Then, in the second half, it's 18 year-old Brennan with his second goal. The almost continuous cheering is the tonic these young players need and another newcomer, Alex Dawson crashes home goal number three.
