    United States special envoy Dr. Henry Kissinger reported to President Nixon on Thursday (14 December) on his secret talks for a Vietnam cease-fire. But there was no indication on what he told the President.

    As the U.S. envoy left, the North Vietnamese chief negotiator, Mr. Le Duc Tho, was arranging to leave for Hanoi to report to his Government, after his negotiations with Dr. Kissinger.

    Later, in Washington, Dr. Kissinger brought President Nixon up to date on the talks that have been going on since December the fourth. As Dr. Kissinger left, Mr. Tho was arranging to return to Hanoi to report to his own Government. Meanwhile, at the one-hundred-and-seventieth session of the semi-public peace talks, the U.S. urged Hanoi and the Viet Cong to agree to a Christmas truce plan.
