Background: Visnews catches the scene at London Airport and spotlights the strikers who brought B.O.A.C. planes to a standstill, October 14.
Latest development and blow for B.O.A.C. came when an airline official announced: "We shall have to postpone the start of the world's first daily Atlantic jet service by Comet 4 from November 14."
Crew training had to be suspended and the Boeing 707, the Comet's rival jet-liner, was once again in the race for the first daily jet service across the Atlantic.
The walk-out brought by an overtime ban is costing B.O.A.C., GBP100,000 a day.
